Notes:
 Date and place of birth are from a Civil War Register, and are unconfirmed.  However the
 other items from that register appear to be accurate.
 Based on the story about Ira walking to DC and arriving too late to
 see his son alive, best guess for Milo was that he enlisted as a
 Private on 22 Dec 1863 age 19, in Company M, 2nd Heavy Artillery
 Regiment New York.  He died of disease on 14 Jul 1864, in Harewood
 Hospital, Washington D.C.  Pension records show Sarah West, his wife
 requesting a pension on 9 Sep 1864.  This is consistent with the story
 which said that he had married in Rome, NY just before enlisting.
 Company M was recruited from Oneida County near Rome.
