IGI has a Wheaton West born 1782, in Western, Oneida County, NY. No
source reference or other information.
1810 census lists W. West, (neighbor of G. Dopp!), and also
a J. West. Both similar age (26-44). If born in 1782, Wheaton
would have been 28 in 1810, and 38 in 1820. There is a Male 45 and over
in the household in 1820, as well as one 25-44. The older male could
be Wheaton's father. In 1860, there is a Wheaton West, age 20, born in
NY, but living in Scot County, IL, aparently working on the railroad, or
in lumber.
