Mother was Frances M. Ferris (Buck), and descendant of Richard Olmstead of Hartford CT. Listed as Gudrida H. in 1900. In 1900, living with her widowed mother, Frances M. Buck., born Jun 1838. Harriet is the only child. Mother was apparently married about 1865. There is a Gudrida Buck monument or enscription in Poland Cemetery in Herkimer County, but there are no dates, so unlikely she is buried there, though her son Lyman is. She married and later divorced two Professors, the first being our relative Eric Viele Greenfield, and the second being Walter W.S. Cook. Both were published and respected professors. We lose track of her after the second divorce... perhaps there was a third. Distinct ancestors in tree: 8
