Found in 1910 married to William Kirtley, aparently for 18 years, but we know she was unmarried in 1900. She is completely missing from the 1920 and 1930 census. Ida Mae Swales is also a mystery. Records at Prospect Hill Cemetery confirm she was married to a Mr. Kirtley, and that she was the mother-in-law of a Charles Wearne of 203 Erie St., Jessup, PA. Actually, it was John Charles Wearne, who married Francis' daughter Leona. The Charles Wearne in the 1930 census was John's father. Charles Wearne is on the same page in the census as our relative David Jayne. This is probably just a coincidence. When she was buried, the lot was supposed to be double depth, but found not to be, so Elizabeth Swales was disinterred, so that the grave could be dug another 3 feet to allow Frances to be buried.
