1910 US Census

 The name is also spelled Curtley in various places.
 The census in 1910 says married C.1892, but we know this is incorrect
 from the 1900 census, which shows Frances M. Swales unmarried, and
 (assuming I have the right William Kirtley/Curtley, he was married and
 living with wife Catherine Mary (nee Bumby), and their daughter Agnes
 M.  In 1910, Agnes (listed as Caroline M. Curtley) is living with her
 Grandparents George and Caroline Bumby.  It is thoroughly speculative, but
 is possible that William is the father of one or both of Frances' two
 sons born out of wedlock, and than they married following the death of
 his first wife Catherine.  The 1900 census suggests that Frances' sons
 had different fathers, however, listing William J.'s as Welsh, and Thomas
 H.'s as English.  All involved are inexplicably missing from the 1920
 and 1930 census.
