This Esther/Hester was quite a surprise, when I discovered her in the 1871 census, though she explains the entry in the 1900 census, which says that her mother had had 7 children, 6 of which were living. At first, I thought this was Esther Ann, but she seems certainly to have been born two years later, in Yorkshire. Distinct ancestors in tree: 68
