1891 census says born in Loftus. 1910 census index shows her as 31, which would make her birth date C.1879 1900 census shows Feb 1873. Married 2 years, came to US in 1893 55 New London 1920 census shows naturalized in 1897 cause of death; Bronchial Viral Pneumonia The 1871 census shows an Esther B. Saunders (George's last and middle names were transposed, apparently), age 2. It is remotely possible that Esther was actually born in Swanage in 1869, but I believe she had an older sister with the same name who died before she was born, and after whom she was named. |
