 Obituary in the 30 Jan 1929 Pulaski Democrat:
  Charles E. West, 80, died January 25th at his home in Port Byron fol-
  lowing an illness of a week.  Surviving are his wife; four daughters. Mrs.
  Charles Sheeley of Tariffville, Conn., Mrs. Warren Mott, Cauuga, Mrs. Har-
  vey Laws, East Syracuse and Mrs. Margaret Gilbert Skaneateles and file
  grandchildren.  He was born at Orwell.  Fuleral services were held at the home
  at 1:30-o'clock on Monday afternoon.  Burial will be at Orwell in the spring.
