On the Ship's manifest, Martin & Edith's names are reversed, but it is certainly them. They joined the Peckville United Methodist Church, where the Swales were members, immediately after arriving in the USA. Thomas and Martin were onboard the Franconia sailing from Liverpool 29 Mar 1913, and arriving NY 7 Apr 1913. They are listed as US Citizens, and their address in Olyphant was 708 East Lackawanna Ave. They were naturalized 12 Nov 1900, Scranton, PA. No date on the monument for Thomas, but presumably buried there. |
