W.L.Deavendorf before 1870 Willard L. Deavendorf/Diefendorf is the brother of Lyman's second wife Mathilda. Their parents were Abram & Elvira Diefendorf (of Stark, Herkimer Co.). Elvira later married Stephen Reynolds. Laurette C.1844-5 Infant, died 19 Feb 1847 Amanda C.1855 in 1870, grandsons Egbert & Fredy (Frederich) ages 7 & 6 in 1880, they are 18 and 16. in 1880, mother of second wife, Elvira Reynolds is living with them. Also buried in Old Threresa are: Laura J. Stearns, died 15 Nov 1861, age 20y2m25d this could be Laurette, though the age or date are off. Laurette does not appear to be in the census in 1870. If the age is right the year could have been 1864. Sometimes a 4 looks like a 1 on the old stones. If it was 1864 it was just 2 weeks before Henry died. He died in Theresa of disease, so it is possible they both died of some fever or other. John also died in 1864. Sally Stearns, daugther of Curtis & Mary, died 26 May 1847, 5y2m15d Sally died of Scarlet Fever (Theresa Vital Records) This Curtis is Lyman's brother, who moved to Ohio after Sally died. |
