1900 census says born Jan 1870, IL, but more likely Jan 1871, NY, since he is not in the census in 1870. 1900: Sadie 5 (Feb 1895), Hattie 2 (Jun 1897) 1900 census says born in Illinois! 1910: Sadie 15, Hattie 12, Blanche 8, Bertha 8, Frances 3 1920: Hattie 21, Blanche 18, Bertha 18, Frances 13 From 1883 to 1887, he attened school (winter months only) at Lorena Road School. In 1883/1884 John McPherson was listed as his parent/guardian, but after that, Benjamin West was listed. His sister Nettie attended the same school, and generally attended both in the winter and spring. |
