Not certain of her maiden name, but several of their children had Hendy as a middle name, and there were several Mary Hendy's born around the right them and place. However, she was married as Mary Matthews, and in 1861, there is a James Matthews, age 13, living with them. This is possibly a son from a previous marriage, or, if not, then her maiden name was Matthews. |
