The death record for Polly Matteson Nichols in the Mexico NY Town offices
says that her father is Charles Matteson, though family histories say he is
Andrew Matteson. Since one of his sons is named Charles Andrew, perhaps his
name is Charles Andrew Matteson.
Polly wrote a letter 15 April 1859 to her brother Charles, telling about
the move from Edmeston to Oswego County. The move took three days.
