Zaofu  was the first person to hold the surname
 Zhao .
 He was the chauffer to Zhou Mu Wang (1001-946 B.C.).
 The name Zhao  was originally that of a city-state in
 Shanxi  province,
 which was awarded to Zaofu  by Zhou Mu Wang,
 after Zaofu  rescued him during a rebellion.  Because of this
 act, Zaofu  is called "the loyal chauffer".
