Up to 1861, his age in the census seems to indicate he was born late 1826 or early 1827, then starting with 1871, he seems to be 10 years younger. Maybe it is two different Georges, but his mother Hannah seems link them, as does his birthplace, which is shown in his death record. I believe he simply became confused, or intentionally dropped 10 years. Marriage transcript list his residence as Uxbridge, and hers as Whitchurch, but this is pretty certainly reversed.
