from 1880 census, Richland township.
He was killed at Genesee Junction, about six miles from Rochester, the
week of 8 Feb 1897. He was acting as brakeman on a freight train of the
West Shore railroad. It is thought as he was standing upon the top of
a boxcar and while the train was passing under a bridge, he was struck
by the an arch.
